Ivy

My name is Ivy. I was born on Jan 15 2017, and met my parents on Jan 19 2017. From the day my foster parents picked me up, I never left them. We just didn’t know that would be the case. I was born to my birth mom and met my parents through foster care. When I was 10 months old my birth mom asked my parents to adopt me. My birth mom selflessly knew she couldn’t care for me and that my mommy and daddy could. She told them they could give me a life she couldn’t. She knew they loved me more than anything in the world.

I can’t remember life before my mommy and daddy. My parents tell me about how I grew in my birth moms belly, and that my mommy couldn’t have children, and through the grace of God – we became a family. At 17 months old, on June 15 2018, I was adopted into my forever family. It’s my Gotcha Day, my parents tell me it’s the best day of their lives. After all the years of praying to Jesus for a baby, he gave them one through foster care and adoption.
